Data we collect when you book
To process your booking we store your name and, if you provide them, your email address and phone number, together with the rental date and the items you booked. Your name, email address and phone number are stored encrypted in our database.
What we use your data for
Your contact details are used solely to manage your booking: to send you a booking confirmation, to reach you if something about your rental day changes, and to identify your booking at pickup. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Booking confirmation emails
If you provide an email address, the booking confirmation is delivered through Mailgun (Mailgun Technologies, EU region). Mailgun processes your email address only to deliver the message.
Hosting and content delivery
This website is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which protects it against attacks and speeds up loading. To route and secure your connection, Cloudflare technically processes connection data such as your IP address; we do not access or store this data. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss–U.S. and EU–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks.
Website analytics
This website uses no analytics of any kind. We do not record page views, IP addresses, device information or visitor behaviour, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies
This website sets only a technically necessary session cookie, for example to remember your language choice and your booking confirmation. There are no tracking or third-party cookies.
Retention
We value the privacy and security of your data — that is why we store almost nothing. As soon as your boards are returned, your email address and phone number are automatically deleted and your name is censored beyond recognition (for example "S****a M***r"). Waiting-list entries are cleaned the same way the moment they are no longer active. Only anonymised booking data (date, items, price) is kept for statutory record-keeping.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (and, where applicable, the GDPR), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Just write to the email address above and include your booking reference.
